The DMP4NFDI Outreach Support Concept defines a framework for supporting NFDI consortia in promoting data and software management services and fostering their adoption within their research communities.

Report on the hands-on workshop “RDMO in Practice: Building Data Management Plans for Agricultural Research” conducted by the NFDI Consortium FAIRagro with the support of the Basic Service DMP4NFDI on 17–18 June 2026.

Following an initial comparison of current Software Management Plans (SMPs), a hackathon was held at ZB MED, focusing on harmonisation across the different SMPs, aligned to NFDI and RDMO needs. Here we present the results of this hackathon organised within the framework of the NFDI Base project DMP4NFDI.

This training guideline provides trainers conducting introductory workshops on Data Management Plans with a step-by-step approach to planning and running an effective session. It also includes a teaching script example, with learning objectives and a suggested duration.
